In today’s digital marketing world, data and content are King. For this destination marketing project, our client was looking to find ways of defining their consumers. From a marketing standpoint, when you have more information about the person you are talking too, you have a much greater chance of converting. So, how do you get this information? Our recommendation to the client was to create a promoted microsite that contained a personality quiz. Visitors to the site would answer questions about their personal preferences while on holidays with their answers “assigning” them a region of Vancouver Island. Once completed, the visitor would be assigned a quirky Vancouver Island name and description which they could then share with friends over social media.
