While the COVID-19 pandemic clearly impacted us all, small business in many areas was hit very hard. We are passionate about where we live, so when we were approached by Destination Greater Victoria to help them with a campaign to help local businesses, we were more than happy. The line, “I’m in Victoria” was meant to have a double meaning for this locally based campaign. First, it was meant as a local identifier but also as a rallying cry letting everyone know that we are in this together and that as a community, we are all invested in helping locals. The goal of the campaign was to highlight local business owners so they could tell their stories and invite the community to come and engage with their business or service. The design tone was kept lite and positive with executions ranging from display and social ads to print and transit advertising.
